Story Behind The Song
Originally written for an adaptation of A Christmas Carol, the song in the show is sung by Tiny Tim. In Dickens original text, he writes that Tiny Tim sings a song about a little boy who is lost. That is the only description he gives, so I created this song based on that one idea.
Song Description
A sweet little Christmas ballad that reminds us of the true reason of the season.

Lyrics
A long time ago, on Christmas eve
A sad little boy was starting to grieve
His family was home, far, far away
And he wanted to be with them all Christmas day.
Walking thru snow as it started to fall
The boy looked around with no one to call
He knew he was lost, could not find his way
So he folded his hands as he started to pray.
Dear Mister Jesus, give me your hand
And shepherd me throughout the land
I can't find my way, please guide me home
And from your side I'll never roam
The clouds up above had soon cleared away
The moon in the sky was lighting his way
And then in the East, he noticed the star
And he knew right away that his home wasn't far
Dear Mister Jesus, give me your hand
And shepherd me throughout the land
I can't find my way, please guide me home
And from your side I'll never roam
Dear Mister Jesus, please guide me home
And from your side, I'll never, never roam.
