Story Behind The Song
I'd written the chord progression for this song on the mandolin years ago but could find the right melody. One day, I was walking my boss' dog and had a paper towel and a pen. I told myself that if she pooped I'd clean it up, but if not I'd write the lyrics to a song. She didn't poop! I was in the process of changing my middle name at the time, so that was the inspiration for the title. Also, I was desperately in love with a boy I was convinced felt the same way about me. I wanted to make the song as sweet as possible and one that would evoke "Awwww!!"s. Once I played it live and a girl in the audience asked me to play it in her wedding the next day! I've performed it at two weddings and got the "Awwww!!"s I was looking for. :)

Lyrics
He holds me in his arms
And I feel safe and sound
There's no place that I'd rather be
Whenever he's around
But when I am alone
I miss him tenderly
But I know as soon as he can
He's coming back to me
We are one for each other
Our love is just the same
He looks at me and I know
He's going to Change My Name
We've been so long together
But the colors look brand new
My world would still be black and white
Had I not found you
But when I am alone
I miss you tenderly
But I know as soon as you can
You're coming back for me
We are one for each other
Our love is just the same
He looks at me and I know
He's going to Change My Name
We are one for each other
Our love is just the same
He looks at me and I know
He's going to Change My Name
