Story Behind The Song

I purchased the first Indonesian gamelan orchestra set to reside in Korea (I'm American) and this is the first piece of music I recorded with the genders and bonangs. I was going for something that would help you relax and feed your soul.

Song Description

The pokok or balngan, as it is known in Java or Bali respectively, for this song is based on THE most famous Korean folk melody called Arirang. It's played much more slowly, the same way that cantus firmus (if thats the right word) uses sacred Gregorian c
