Story Behind The Song
For the umpteenth time I was infatuated with the wrong person and wrote a song decrying the notion that there's a delineation between love and lust/infatuation and whether it all matters because we often seem victims of uncontrollable feelings. (For what it's worth, writing the song called attention to the issue and the pattern has not been repeated, so perhaps there was nothing to decry).
Song Description
A pulsating rock song with quirky Beck guitar licks and odd harmonic background vocals singing "lie lie lie lie lie", rocking drums by Gregg Williams, a funky, percolating, bubbling drum loop and soulful female duet vocals representing a schizo state of denial whether it's infatuation or love, to convey tension, frustration and anxiety.
