Story Behind The Song
Winner of the UK Songwriting Contest "Country Category" and the Clef Music Award - 2023, "Looking Up To Heaven" is a song about the close bond and the love shared between my parents Edmund and Clothilda Valles. When Mom passed away suddenly, we were left heart broken and shattered. Writing this song was the only way to express my grief. Sadly, Dad passed away in Sept 2021. This song is a tribute to my parents and a celebration of their legacy of love. It is also a reminder of the power of music as a tool to comfort and heal.
