Story Behind The Song
I've always loved doo wop and for the longest time I kept telling myself that I would write and record a doo wop song. So, I finally did it. The story is fictitious, but it's perfect for a doo wop ballad.

Lyrics
No dear, you're wrong, you did not see me cry
That ol' crazy moonbeam just caught in my eye
And no that is not a tear on my face
It's just I been standin'
Out in the rain
We've been so close since we were only ten
And we made our solemn pact we'd always be friends
I've had my heart break a million times since then
And that's why I'm standin'
Out in the rain
The raindrops fall
Upon my cheeks
And hide the truth
I will not speak
You'll never see
Tears of this clown
As long as the rain keeps cascading down
I'll be alright, now you two have fun
And I'll do my best to stay out of the sun
You'll give him your heart and leave me my pain
And I'll go on standin'
Out in the rain
No dear, you're wrong, you did not see me cry
That crazy ol' moonbeam just caught in my eye
And if you still need me to try and explain
Well just come and find me
Out in the rain
That's where you'll find me
Out in the rain
