Pull up in my Cadillac and finished my cigar
I was looking for the light left on, on the seventh floor

stepped up and rang the buzzer hoping she would let me in

i was nearly paralyzed frozen at the door
the licks i heard were better then I'd ever heard before

fingers clenched together as I knock upon the door
the music stopped the door swung open shook to me to the core
that girl stood there before me saying "hey hey hey hey hey"
in her arms she was holding a vintage Gretsch guitar

now we play together way up on the seventh floor
