Story Behind The Song
I've always liked the concept of people sharing the same sky when loved ones are apart from each other. It's comforting to know that we all are under the same starry dome that unites us in times of difficulty or trials. I wrote this song while missing my lover and hoping for some way to connect when communication was impossible.
Song Description
Taking this a step further, I like to think of this on a global scale to unite people across differences of time and space and see that we all do truly 'share the same sky' in a very real sense.

Lyrics
We Share the Same Sky
C* The sun sets for you
then the sun sets for me
cause we share the same sky.
You can follow the curve
of the earth north to me
or come as the crow flies.
Today, tomorrow, whatever will be
you're bound to arrive, on time.
V1 You said 'Were inextricably interwoven like two threads in the same shawl.'
So independent but so beholden
it takes two to have it all.
We were so unprepared and inebriated when our love came to call.
It opened our hearts like a flood gate, you caught me in freefall.
C* The sun sets for you
then the sun sets for me
cause we share the same sky.
You can follow the curve
of the earth north to me
or come as the crow flies.
Today, tomorrow, whatever will be you're bound to arrive, on time.
V2 Now what's to become of you and me when you're so far away?
I've wished and I've hoped
and been down on my knees
to my God I have prayed.
C* He said 'The sun sets for you then the sun sets for me
cause we share the same sky.'
You can follow the curve
of the earth north to me
or come as the crow flies.
Today, tomorrow, whatever will be
you're bound to arrive on time.
