Story Behind The Song
This is a song was inspired by a drawing that my daughter, Morgan, had created right after 911. This is not a 911 song, but rather an anthem for all Americans.
Song Description
Whenever we face trouble or strife, we should all try to see through our differences and band together as Americans.

Lyrics
(Verse 1)
The winds of change have come around,
In every city-every town, a little piece of innocence is gone.
But what we got in return,
Is a flame that always burns the light of freedom-
Together we are one.
(Chorus 1)
Don?t let the flame die out-That?s what America is all about.
And when that flag waves high-
We?ll look up to the sky-and thank our lucky stars
That we are who we are
AMERICA-THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.
(Verse 2)
We?ve never known any fear-but what is happening right here,
Is the ultimate test of our resolve.
We survived a Civil War-we?ve lost our sons on foreign shores
To save Democracy-that?s why we get involved.
(Chorus 2)
Don?t let the flame die out-That?s what America is all about.
And when that flag waves high-
We?ll look up to the sky-and thank our lucky stars
That we are who we are
AMERICA-THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.
(Bridge)
And when find our back?s against the wall,
We?ll stand and fight for each other-the hero in us all.
(Chorus 3)
Don?t let the flame die out-That?s what America is all about.
And when that flag waves high-
Let?s remember those who died-and thank our lucky stars
That we are who we are.
AMERICA- AMERICA- AMERICA-THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.
