Story Behind The Song
Originally written in 1975, this song has been recorded in many different versions, and was the only song performed in Enflish by the great Puerto Rican singer Danny Rivera, in Madison Square Garden. A musician sees a girl with a red bandanna, loses track of her during his concert, and is later reunited with her.
Song Description
The protagonist, a musician sees a pretty girl with a red bandanna walking out on the street, she will not speak to him. Later he performs a concert in the park, all the while searching for the girl, while the chorus tells him "thats the way the cards fall in your hand, when you play in the band". Finally she seeks him out, a happy ending.
