Story Behind The Song
I got the jist of the main phrase from a reading of a weather report and related it to how that descrpition might fit a relationship, especially one that was in the first stages of heavy development. It's also about how a word or expression can change the entire mood and timbre of a song.

Lyrics
1: A zephyr teased the air, clouds drifted everywhere
groundhogs could not decide if they should hide (Should they hide?)
A chinook chased us down terns floated all around
You looked into my eye and could not decide
Chorus 1: It was gorgeous weather the afternoon temperature
was in the sixties or seventies when an early april freeze
killed the fruit and all the buds in bloom and just asoon everything thawed and warmed that afternoon that afternoon that afternoon that afternoooooooonnnnn
Verse 2:
And so I tried again, I tried to make amends
I felt those northern winds begin to blow (they began to blow)
A squall approached the coast and stormclouds gathered close
Whitecaps appeared real near and the sun sank low-
Chorus 2:
In came stormy weather, the barometric pressure
Dropped to an all-time low, the mercury sank slow
But a hint of hope that?s in your eye broke the stormclouds open wide
And I crawled inside, That afternoon (x4)
Jam : Go to chorus chords (Vocal part with low ahhhs through first part)
Verse 3: Startled by a stellar Jay we felt the ocean spray
?.ohh what a day for a rendez-vous (for a rendez-vous)
The sun warmed your flaxen hair and we were almost there
Then your expression changed while I stared at you
Chorus 3: same as chorus 1
