Story Behind The Song

I wrote this track while fiddling around with sampling; I turned a sampled chord into a thundering, chaotic bass drum sound. That sound brought to mind colossal metallic structures, and this ominous view of a near future in which everyday life is overshadowed by our continued growth in technology and the danger that this might bring. The slightly atonal piano melody brings in a mysterious but somehow more human and grounding element to the track, and the tone of this piano was designed to give of an old-school 'western' vibe, to throw those overarching concepts of technology, dystopia, worldly mystery and looming black monoliths into a very real and gritty human story.
