Story Behind The Song
The tune here already existed as "The Faithful Hound" an instrumental composed & recorded by Eddie. While writing the lyrics it came to me that they could fit it. So the song "Song For Life" was born. The baglama-laden coda was brought by Eddie to the recording session (Ken)
Song Description
Many of BLUE YONDER's tradmarks are featured here - slide guitars, mandolin & vocal interaction; but there's also dobro & this track sees the recording debut of our use of the baglama.

Lyrics
SONG FOR LIFE
Some things are mysteries
Some are oh, so clear
Some remain distant
And some so very near
Oh, on our journey
We must find a way
To stay out of darkness
And keep danger away.
This is our life song
We are here to sing in praise
Of all of the good things
That brighten up our days
And thank you for sharing
A portion of time
A parcel of dreams
Can be yours and can be mine.
Oh, sing a song
Sing a life song
Oh, sing a song
Sing a song for life.
So travel the road straight
Be honest, be true
Please do by others
As you would have them do by you
Yes, we'll live forever
In those who follow on
And those who come after
Will feel the love of those who've gone.
Oh, sing a song
Sing a life song
Oh, sing a song
Sing a song for life.
Oh, sing a life song
Be it short or long
Savour the moment
And know that we belong
To something much greater
Than a single human soul
Each a part of the puzzle
So essential to the whole.
Oh, sing a song
Sing a life song
Oh, sing a song
Sing a song for life.
Sing a song, sing a song for life.
Sing a song, sing a song for life.
Sing a song, sing a song for life.
Sing a song, sing a song for life.
