Story Behind The Song
I wanted to address the bitterweet aspect of losing someone in your life and not being able to move on. While there is a sadness in not being able to move on, there can also be an all-too-sweet comfort in periods of marinating in their memory that allows us to still function in life.
Song Description
How the simple memory of a loved one lost to us can still have the power to embrace us and keep us warm.

Lyrics
I close my eyes and try to hide inside the memories of what we had,
Before you made the choice that you would leave this world,
Pieces of a puzzle that lie scattered on a cold and distant landscape.
And the visions of you keep me warm,
When my body starts to shake.
(chorus)
Oh, I'm addicted to your memory,
Happiness encapsulated,
Oh, and I'll never let it go,
Even when it's old and faded.
Oh, I've so many things I want to say
Though you will never hear me.
Oh, but I'll say them anyway.
Dancing 'round in circles on the sidewalk all alone beneath the pouring rain,
Soaked to the bone but I'm not chilled because you're glowing in my heart.
There may never be another moment when I feel your skin against my chest,
But please don't think that I could ever put the love we shared to rest.
Oh, I'm addicted to your memory,
Happiness encapsulated,
Oh, and I'll never let it go,
Even when it's old and faded.
Oh, I've so many things I want to say,
Though you may never hear me.
Oh, but I'll say them anyway.
I'll see you in a stranger's eyes,
And feel you in a summer breeze
Your spirit's always there to hold me
When I'm brought down to my knees.
Oh, I'm addicted to your memory,
Happiness encapsulated,
Oh, and I'll never let it go,
Even when it's old and faded.
Oh, I've so many things I want to say,
Though you will never hear me.
Oh, but I'll say them anyway.
Oh, I'll say them anyway.
