Story Behind The Song
This song was written while my partner was on a 21 day whitewater rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. Since cell phones can't reach into the mile-deep canyon, there was no communication at all for 21 days, and no way to know how the rafters were faring.
Song Description
This is a musical photograph of loneliness--the deep, heartfelt longing for a loved one who is far away.

Lyrics
Sleeping alone, waking alone
Moving blindly through the mindless routine of my life
This is what missing you feels like
Lying awake into the night
Knowing that sleep cannot come if I can?t still my mind
This is what missing you feels like
Thinking of you
Wherever you are
Counting the days
Counting the hours
Until I can hold you safe in my arms
Noise in my brain, ache in my soul
Facing a desert of time barren and dry
This is what missing you feels like
Thinking of you
Wherever you are
Counting the days
Counting the hours
Until I can hold you safe in my arms
Until I can hold you safe in my arms
This is what missing you feels like
