Story Behind The Song
This song took a while to reach it's final form, but the initial inspiration was from Shawn Smith's first solo album. It challenged me to write a song as uplifting and satisfying as his.
Song Description
A song to make you feel good, with a steady beat and rythmic piano line. The chorus kicks in with some groovey harmonies to make the package complete for those bright sunny days.

Lyrics
Sun is falling, in the shadows of the evergreen
I drop my things and chase the sunlight
Wind it whispers, "you're gonna have to make a change"
But the grass below it says it's all right,
If you just live for today
(it'll be all right)
And you give up all that binds you
(you'll see the light)
You just might be clear of mind
To feel the day all around
and feel the last rays of the sun shine the sound
it just might be last
so breath it, feel it, don't you let a moment pass
the answer to the why's, it lies in you
Saw her dancing, in the fields of childhood dreams
I took my bow, and held her tightly
Start to wonder, why ever let her go
But the tears she hides, they soon remind me
You can chase the dream forever
(you'll never find)
But it won't bring what you want
(what you need inside)
So just open up your eyes
To feel the day all around
and feel the last rays of the sun shine
it just might be last
so breath it, feel it, don't you let a moment pass
the answer to the why's, it lies in you
solo
To feel the day all around
and feel the last rays of the sun shine
it just might be last
so breath it, feel it, don't you let a moment pass
the answer to the why's, it lies in you
