Lyrics

Hush-a-by darling, and Hush-a-by dear-o
Hush-a-by darling will yet be a hero, none will be bigger or braver or stronger lullaby little one crying no longer.

chorus-
Lullaby, little one, bonnie wee baby,
he'll be a hero, and fight for us maybe,
cattle and horses and sheep will his prey be,
none will be bolder or braver than baby

Softly and silently eyelids are
closing,
dearest wee jewel, so gently he's dozing; softly he's resting by slumber o're taken,
soundly he's sleeping, and sweetly he's waken.

chorus

Peacefully, pleasantly, slumber has found him, Angels are lovingly watching around him, beautiful spirits his sorrow beguiling,
sweetly they whisper and baby is smiling.

Hush-a-by darling will yet be a
hero.

Mary Black...I liked it.

Tention, tention, tention.... and great voice .....this has got to get placed

Extraordinary tune on all accounts.Flawless in it's presentation...Would seem to fit perfectly into a space movie scene as they arrive close to the moon.

Occasional shifts into minor chords bring out the modal beauty of the air, which is warmly and faultlessly lilted by the singer. This Scots lullaby has some martial undertones. The arrangement reflects that, moving from symphonic to intimate and back again. Together with the well-judged vocal, it makes for a moving performance, well worth the listen.

very enjoyable tract! Beautiful voice. Congradulations!

Another wonderful offering, beautiful entry with such a native American feel and then the vocal come floating in with such nice Judy Collins vibe, just great! Lovely instrumentation to augment the vocal. I had to listen again to just let it take me away...THANKS

That opening is awesome! Broadjam needs to add celtic. Totally well done. The echo at 1:28 is what I wanted hear, and it was there, but because of a lousy connection or old computer I missed it. Great! The use of celtic instrumentation is perfect.
I really like the chord of the 4th's in the opening. You know what you are doing.

Haunting, deep, thought-provoking and sad. Delta's voice is lovely and heart-touching. The production touches are well-orchestrated and apropos for this composition. Love the way the Celtic & military elements are blended with careful artistry. The major sections are lovely as well as the minor. Great job from a terrific artist.

Nice atmospheric track with good build-up through the intro.
