Lyrics

(CHORUS) It's me and the Captain and Jim,
They're two of my favorite friends
She's gone away, and left me this way, But I'm not alone I've got them
Tomorrow will follow today, I'll get up and get on my way
But at this time of night, It isn't all right
So I'm drinking my troubles away

1. Once upon a long ago, a million years from here
She told me she loved me, it's what I longed to hear
We planned our lives together, the way it all would go
Then she changed her mind, she left me behind,
Left me standing all alone

2. When I look at the movies, that play on old TV
Sometimes it seems there's someone, for everyone but me
Sometimes I think alone is how I've got to live my life
And then I take my friends out, they help work my bends out
And stop thinking for the night.
(Go to reggae chorus)
