We played one show in Bilbao in what can only be described as a "terrorist" bar for teens. A place to drink and smoke with no hassles. Lots of posters on the walls with guys wearing skimasks and toting bazookas and other stuff in the same vein...revolution propoganda aimed at romanticizing "revolution" to a bunch of easygoing kids. Still, with virtually no spanish skills at the time, and even less euskera, it took me about 30 minutes to realize what we'd walked into. Everyone else had been nervous as shit from the get-go. The opening band started playing (on mostly our backline) and the cops showed up after the first song...and shut the whole thing down. Needless to say I didn't trade any email address.
