Story Behind The Song
I came up with a simple but subtle chord progression and melody which needed a romantic, gentle-touch lyric, that would engage the listener. Corin Anderson produced the track perfectly, cleverly sampling my demo to use as the bedrock for the song. Amy Reader provides the stunning vocal.

Lyrics
Every morning try to beat the clock
But I can't slow down
It's so early, I don't get to stop
And my head pounds
Still the bills keep coming
Got to get my feet on firm ground
But I aim for the summit
Reach for the top
Reach for the sky (knowing, knowing, knowing)
There'd be harmony, symphonies
In a ideal world
I'd have time to spare
Wouldn't have to care for anything or anyone but you
I'd hold the golden key
And life would be so free
In an ideal world
I'd have time to spare
And everything I'd share with you
In an ideal world,
Six o'clock, got to hurry, going home now
No time to waste but why should I worry or hesitate (I know, I know, I know)
There'd be harmony, symphonies
In a ideal world
I'd have time to spare
Wouldn't have to care for anything or anyone but you
I'd hold the golden key
And life would be so free
In an ideal world (knowing you'd be here)
I'd have time to spare
And everything I'd share with you
In an ideal world,
In an ideal world
On a carnival ride, you by my side
In a ideal world
We'd sit and watch the tide
Into water we would dive
You and I, you and I
Troubles pass us by
In an ideal world (you and I, you and I)
In an ideal world (troubles pass us by)
