Lyrics

4th of July,
Thought now's the right time,
Been in at the deep end,
My whole damn life.
So I sold my soul and I sold the wife,
Headed for the weekend,
See you next time.

chorus:
I don't know, do you?
Sometimes, I don't know me.
In at the deep end,
It's my destiny.

I stumbled out, from a night owl bar,
Living in a bottle, sleeping in my car.
I tried to drink, all my troubles away,
I'm stuck in the weekend,
For another day.

chorus

So its kill or be killed,
Sink or swim.
Out on the weekend with my bottle of gin.
But a shark don't like, the shallow end,
I'm going back to the deep end,
I'll see you again.

chorus.

4th of July, now's the right time,
Been in at the deep end, my whole damn life.

I like the hook. The song was catchy but a little obscure. I would have liked to hear some humor in this song. It has a humorous melody line that would work well with some funny lyrics. The song sounded like Hank Williams meets Pink Floyd.

Everything about this song is genuine, timeless, and memorable. All parties performing on this track are being represented humbly and tastefully, and the sum of all parts is the perfect country western americana rock song. I absolutely am a fan of you Daniel Campbell.
