Story Behind The Song
We all face temptation everday. I can't remember the specific scenario that promted this song but the internal struggle to do the right thing is universal. I remember writing it in the car on the way from Savannah, Georgia to Vidalia and almost getting into a car wreck with a truck!

Lyrics
She had long blond curls and a string of pearls,
High heels and a skirt so tight.
She had a small tattoo just above her shoe,
Saying baby hold on tight.
She had a neon sign in her bedroom eyes,
Shining vacancy tonight.
Well she looked at me and without a word
she said stay with me tonight.
(Chorus)
Don?t look this way cause I?m a family man
And I?m trying the best I can to stick to the family plan.
Just turn away and I?ll remember right from wrong.
But if your eyes keep holding on, I?ll be good as gone.
Well I blinked my eyes and to my surprise
that girl had turned away
I thought the coast was clear I went to chug my beer
then I?d soon be on my way
Then in a flash of time right before my eyes
I saw my troubles multiply.
Now where there once was one was sitting double the fun
and they were both giving me the eye.
(Repeat Chorus)
(Bridge)
Tonight that devil?s working overtime.
He?s dressed up all in lace and looking fine.
This is the night that my love stands on the line.
Playing in the devil?s playground ,
or walking that family man line
(repeat chorus to fade)
