Song Description
Black Dog is the second song of the CD. This song tells us that the main character (Billy) is confused and depressed. He is feeling the pressure of being popular especially when he has mixed feelings about what he has done. When Billy finds himself most depressed is when he sees a black dog making the best of situations and enjoying life. Billy starts to think that maybe that dog is on to something.

There's a black dog running in the pouring rain
Who wears no collar, has no name
He chases squirrels and things that fly
Barks at the pale grey sky....that Black Dog
Billy's sits on a splintered fence
Wondering why life makes no sense
But then he takes a look at you
So happy with the things you do.......Black Dog
Nice and easy seems to work....living life don't have to hurt...
no, no, no, no oh no
You're at peace with what you do....rain don't seem to bother you
Music
He loves watching you run free
Some day soon he to will see
Life don't have to be a race
He just has to find his pace...like Black Dog......repeat last 2 lines
