Story Behind The Song
"Too Tired to Stop" was written after a two-day coaching session with my friend's trainer in Arkansas. He was getting ready to ride at the Dixie Nationals Horse Show, and was venting after being so tired he could hardly stop the horse.

Lyrics
Down and back with speed this time
Setting him up for a beautiful slide
I told myself I can do it this time
This could be the best one of my life
But I'm too tired to stop
My legs are feelin' like lead
My trainer keeps tellin' me that it's all in my head
But I'm too tired to stop
Sittin' on Emmit, my faithful steed
Dreamin' of winnin' a Dixie jacket, please
My legs are jello, I'm tryin' hard to breathe
Doing my best, but he's provin' hard to please.
But I'm too tired to stop
My legs are feelin' like lead
My trainer keeps tellin' me that it's all in my head
But I'm too tired to stop
Six long hours to get me to this place
All I'm hearing is drive, drive, drive
Hard to see, sweat's runnin' down my face
I'm lucky if I make it out alive
But I'm too tired to stop
My legs are feelin' like lead
My trainer keeps tellin' me that it's all in my head
But I'm too tired.
But I'm too tired to stop
I'm too tired to stop
I'm too tired to stop
