Story Behind The Song
I took a hiatus from writing for a few years and thru the encouragement of some old friends and fans, I bought some recording equipment and started writing again. This was the first song that I wrote in 1995 after this hiatus.
This is is an all-new version of the song!
It is a fun song with some double-meanings swirling around in it. This is a song about how ALL kinds of love and how great love can take us all to the "promised land" of friendship and more.
The tune has a funky Gospel flavor running through this tune....with echoes of The Band, Leon Russell, Bonnie and Delaney, Little Feat and Derek and The Dominoes wafting thru it. Hope you enjoy it!
