Song Description
This is a song I have wanted to write for sometime about making the conscious choice everyday ..."to make it a Great day". Then a couple sources of inspiration hit and viola....a new song.
When the children were young, I used to greet them in the morning with various phrases about making today a "great" day...what kinda day are you going to make it?.... My goal was to impress upon them the they really will determine their mindset.
Not to go overboard, but the same choices face us all daily. Making a conscious decision to not "try", but to "make" each day (give it your best effort) as good as it can be and beyond.
So, this whole idea is milling around in my head and then I was finishing up another song and creating a piano part for it, when, as I sat at the piano...this tune just popped out. I quickly picked a little drum track and hit record and played the idea out. Then saved it and it sat waiting for a couple months. Then, we had a granddaughter ...it she was a Glory and it was a great day. Then, bingo, rack-focus....the whole song was framed. I added this to all the notes in my journal associated with this song....and it came to life.
I hope you enjoy this song.... and share it with others. It is intended to inspire and bring some joy into the world.
