Story Behind The Song
Having lost our beloved Lucy (black lab & cocker spaniel got the best of me and then some. True story...I went so nuts about losing this dog that I was sure that I needed to set out on the road after searching the internet for a dog that looked like Lucy. One turned up and it was in Nebraska, Chippewa Falls to be exact. So we loaded into our small motor coach and headed for Nebraska. Nearly killed ourselves driving through some of the worst weather that I'd ever encountered. We arrived in time to save this look-alike pup from being put down and we were once again back on the road heading home. This story is true and one I hope to never have to repeat.
Song Description
Somber and still. I wrote this as my heart was breaking after losing our beloved family dog, Lucy. It's has a melancholy kind of classical sound to it, but it's also contemporary and moving.
