I Woke up late this morning saw an emailed note from a chanteuse I had the hots for - who thought I was a joke...
She said she had a ticket for any friend who was a fan of some band I never heard of who was playing at The Grand.
I wanted to get next to her and feel a little skin, so I said I had their T-Shirt and she picked me up at ten.

As we turned the corner looking for a place to park, she asked me what my favorite song was, I said "In The Dark"?
She said she never heard it, she knew each and every tune. I knew I had no answer - I launched a prayer up toward the moon.
The passing moments mocked me,
A tick flickered in my eye, she knew that she'd been duped like an unsuspecting wife.
But before she could unload on me,
I stepped up to the plate
Tongue wiggled my loose tooth,
I sealed my own fate and said:
