Lyrics

I Can Always Count On You

I never really knew
Just what it meant to me
Until it started happening.

You warned me I might fall
It was so clear to you
You could see it coming.

There never was a time
When you left me alone
You would always stand by me.

You helped me realise
That if I am someone
It is really thanks to you.

'Cos you believed in me when no one else would
They doubted I'd ever make it through.
In my heart I know deep down
I can always count on you.

You always said I could
And that is what I did
I began to count on you.

You were the only one
Who knew what I could be
It felt so right to turn to you.

You said there'd come a time
When I would trust myself
To stand on my own two feet.

You always said I had
The strength deep down inside
To stand up tall and face the world.

'Cos you believed in me when no one else would
They doubted I'd ever make it through.
In my heart I know deep down
I can always count on you.

Guitar solo

I never really knew
It could come true for me
Until it started happening.

'Cos you believed in me when no one else would
They doubted I'd ever make it through.
In my heart I know deep down
I can always count on you.

Nice intro, unexpected vocal beginning at 00:32, it really captured me. Singer has a very nice voice and the track has a marked touch of originality.

Here's a song of belief and trust. A lot of thought was put into the band, production and arrangement. There are some really good players in there, especially the lead guitar player. Vocals are clear in a very passionate performance. Interesting arpeggios in the 2nd part of the introduction, very pleasing to the ears. The chorus is stronger than the verses, but still...where are the rhymes?

The arrangement combined elements of several styles and created a thing of its own. It was interesting to see the aspects of 80's synth-pop combined with classical, and even eastern elements. Kudos on thinking outside the box in a genre that can be very cookie cutter. Don't let the low scores bring you down, I can see in this song that you are a talented individual.
