Story Behind The Song
While visiting me from his home planet, my Combat-hardened alien friend tells me about his storied past, in his native alien language, of course ; )
He speaks of a great war, where his planet is invaded by outsiders. His brave army defeats the invaders by sabotaging their space ship during a wild space-gun fight, and the invading army is sent scurrying home in their crippled ship. Whereupon, my alien friend and his mates revel in a brief victory celebration following their glorious battle.
Song Description
10/6/2018 - I've removed the alien chatter in this version. This instrumental has around nine heavy metal guitars coming at you from all directions, with bass and drums. I did the space ray-guns by using a series of guitar-driven synth pedals ganged together to get those sounds. I did the space ship sound toward the end of the song by filing a pick down to work the strings with, which took a few tracks to blend all of the grinds, slides, swirls, etc for the flying saucer toward the end. The alien chatter (not in this version) is my own special voice-throw, so it's all human, but I doubt I'll find another place for that strange alien voice-chatter technique. Although, I can add it back in by request or teach someone else how to add similar. I had so much fun creating this piece, and it took a very long time.
