Story Behind The Song
Strange thing about this song is that it was actually written (lyrics) by a 15 year old girl and performed on this demo version by another singer who happened to be 15 years old at the time. All that have heard it agree that the lyrics and vocal performance are way "beyond thier years" . What do you think?
Song Description
What one would expect to be the next classic from a first class female country vocalist with lots of soul. Could cross over pop ala Chicks.

Lyrics
Magnolia
Jasmine Nyvall/Bob Gentry
Verse 1
I remember those days
When we were in love
I know we were, even though we were so young
And the day we met
You gave me a Magnolia
And I kept it till it finally died away
Chorus 1
Magnolia
Such sweet love
Never thought I'd ever let it go
But young love
Is such hard love
I guess you never know
Verse 2
I closed my eyes
As you led the way
So far away, so beautiful
Our hiding place
And growin' in the distance
It wasn't hard to tell
Baby, I remember it's sweet smell
Chorus 2
Magnolia
Such sweet love
Never thought I'd ever let it go
But young love
Is such hard love
I guess you never know
Bridge
When the wind blows
The scent is in the air
Sometimes it's almost
Like you're still standin' there
And the day you left
You gave me a magnolia
And I held it as I watched you drive away
Chorus 3 (3 part vocals only on 1st 2 lines)
Magnolia
Such sweet love
Never thought I'd ever let it go
But young love
Is such hard love
I guess you never know
