Story Behind The Song
I was asked to sing at a friend's daughter's wedding and came up with this song. The song is not really about a new relationship, but one that has survived the test of time. I really was for my wife of many years.

Lyrics
It wasn't the music that I had in mind
I did not like dancing or toeing the line
But you started out slowly, and I tripped all the time
Then you came up close to me, now we're dancing just fine
To an airborne music without any sound
And in perfect silence you spin me around
And sometimes I wonder how it all came my way
To have such a partner in a graceful ballet
So now on this dance floor where we've got enough space
Put your hands on my shoulder. I'll put my arms 'round your waist
And it won't even matter if they don't play it right
I'll just come up close to you and we'll dance through the night
To an airborne music without any sound
And in perfect silence you spin me around
And sometimes I wonder how it all came my way
To have such a partner in a graceful ballet
