Story Behind The Song
...near and dear to my heart. This was my first ever co-write, first ever demo by a Nashville studio and one of Molly's last songs she wrote before she passed. She was so thrilled with my melody and I was very nervous, having never co-written a song before. I'll never forget ringing her doorbell, walking into her house, sitting down at her piano, and playing "what I had come up with" and then seeing that smile on her face when she heard it, and the feeling that landed in my soul. We shared such joy in the heart that's in this lyric. I'll never forget the experiences with this song. So special on so many levels - rest in peace, Molly Finkle.
