my girlfriend came in from NY unhappy with me alone playing bass instead of remaining at an art opening. She called me a Loser and left to go back to the party. I wrote this entire song in about an hour right after she shut the door.

Guy disturbed about girlfriends attitude and writes this song to say goodbye and well wishes after girlfriend, unhappy with him spending time working on his music, calls him a Loser. He writes this tune which turns the table.
