Story Behind The Song

I wrote this after witnessing a teenager (whom I did not know) struggling with heavy grief over the impending death of a relative. I sympathized, but did not have an opportunity to offer anything because there was not enough time.

This is to express empathy for anyone who struggles with death, and especially with the feelings of helplessness and sorrow that can occur as a result.
