Story Behind The Song
This song is for Arika Rogers.....
Song Description
I wrote this song about a young girl who took her life at the age of 16. Her name was Arika Rogers. She had written me a letter telling me how much she loved one of the songs on our CD. After a show in Terre Haute, Indiana a lady asked to come back stage to speak with me. It was Arika's mother and she had came to tell me Arika had committed suicide. To this day I am haunted by this young gilrs death. I wrote this song for her.

Lyrics
Talk To Me:
by Danny Stultz
Talk to me..
You could have talked to me.
If I'd only felt you reaching
Ever sensed or shared your pain
I swear to you for all it's worth
You would never hurt again
But I can't help but feel
That you struggled to hold on
Your candle slowly flickered
And in one breath child you were gone
Talk to me
You could have talked to me
Was there some thing that tormented you
Something that ignited you
Well that something made my world explode
Daylight surrenders darkness
Weaving deep with the soul
Mine cries out from emptiness
I will never fill this hole
But life goes on because it has to
And we must surely find a way
To listen to our children
Understand what they say
Did you drop a clue on muted ears
Had your shell already cracked
And were there dark voices haunting you
Saying you could not turn back
I say talk to me
Talk to me
You could have talked to me
Was there something that tormented you
Something that ignited you
Well that something made my world explode
You could have talked to me
I would have talked to you...
