Story Behind The Song

Writing this song was a true labor of love. I came up with the melodic and rhyming pattern for the verses first. I found it difficult to tell the story that I wanted to tell while staying within these perimeters. The verses were written, re-written and written again. And the chorus?? Even worse. I can?t even remember how many different choruses I wrote for this song or how many different song titles it held at one point or another. I think the only part of the song that never changed is the bridge, so thank you ?bridge? for sticking with me though all the bad times. :) I sat down with an agenda to write a happy, up-tempo ?I?m in love? song. I love how the intro turned out - it makes me want to dance.

Song Description

She has been bruised by love and hasn?t allowed herself to be vulnerable enough to fall in love again. However, someone comes along with the strength and patience to ?dust off her wings? and shows her how wonderful love can really be. Love cannot be lived on paper and logic doesn?t necessarily apply. I think that most people, at one time or another, have thought that they were too smart for love until ?suddenly love is redefined?. It?s nice to think that your perception of love can quickly be altered by the right person. This song is for anybody who thinks that they will never find "the one".
