I was in bed with pneumonia, felt absolutely horrible. Delirious with fever I started talking to myself "my skin hurts, my hair hurts... the fevers setting in... can't stand up...I'm laid up... oh what a mess I'm in," and I thought "hey...that's pretty good...I should write that down." The song came pretty quick in my feverish delirium.
