Story Behind The Song
"Prayer" is a three-way collaboration between three distinguished songwriters... and a Nobel Peace prize winner: singer James Stewart, a South African #1 recording artist; Julie Gold, Original Song Grammy award winner for "From A Distance"; and A.J. Gundell, a 13-time Emmy-Award winning songwriter/composer/music supervisor/producer. The song also features the voice of Archbishop Desmund Tutu in a stunning VO of the lyrics to the second verse.
Prayer was a trans-Atlantic collabororation--and was recorded in South Africa with native SA musicians and gospel singers.

Lyrics
PRAYER
Feel the heart
Of the world
Beating for creation
God
Let our love
Fall like rain
Drowning all our hatred
Lift us up, way up
From all we?ve become
Til our souls
Like soaring birds
Are finally free
Mmm, oohh
Ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh
Lift us up, way up
From all we?ve become
Til our souls
Like soaring birds
Are finally free
Well be finally free
When we share unconditionally
You and me
Will be finally free
Hear the voice
Of the world
Singing from each nation
We're a brave choir
Of passionate fools
Who believe
It's still not too late
For love
Oh God
Hear our Prayer
Lift us up
Lead us back
Back to love
