Story Behind The Song
In a time like now, when so much negativity on the television and surrounding us, we can easily forget those times when things were not only good, they were amazing. I wrote this song with a smile and hope that it provides the same for the listener.
Song Description
When I began writing songs for the debut CD. Towards Tomorrow this was the second song I wrote. It came together so easily, it was almost like a recipe. Todd Larsen played the solo on this song and added a great dimension to it. It stills brings a smil

Lyrics
Better Times
We were listening to the beatles
while we watched TV
you did your john lennon impression
and you smiled at me
we held up our glasses
in front of our makeshift bar
it was the time when we
were younger than we are now
those were better times
to unwind
those were better times
in our lives
those were better times
to unwind
those were better times
I had that yellow skirt
and a sunflower in my hair
I would have to sneak out of the house
and meet you there
we held each other close
in the hum of the radio sound
it was a time when we
were younger than we are now
and those were better times
to unwind
those were better times
in our lives
those were better times
I would turn the light on
just to see your eyes
you put the pillow overhead
in your a quick disguise
we held each other close
in the hum of the radio sound
it was a time when we
were younger than we are now
and those were better times
to unwind
those were better times
in our lives
those were better times
