Story Behind The Song

The song came from a passing coment I was asked, which was what am I doing for my 22nd birthday, which, for reasons described above, really hit home.So I grabbed a guitar and to be honest virtually all the lyrics came out improvised. Song Description

The song is based aroung the dilema, how do we say goodbye to the supposed best years of our life? There is such a huge deal made about our 16th, 18th and 21st. We are supposed to treasure these years, really live and enjoy them. I was left with a daunting feeling, well what now then? I chose a very soft overall sound for this song, as it is based around one of those conversations you have with friends at around three in the morning, about what we're doing here, where we come from etc. I wanted the sound to sound relaxing, but still holds interest. I believe the song is summed up with the last few lines, "Am I done? Or has my real life just begun." Structure; Intro, verse, bridge, chorus, verse, bridge, chorus, middle eight, guitar solo, bridge, chorus, outro. Instruments; acoustic guitar, lead guitar, drums, vocal.
