This song reminds me (vocally) of Perry Como. First it seems a spiritual song (reference to prayer) and then a love song (reference to kissing/holding hands. I like the imagery of "untied". The soaring image is nice.

Casting a song's genre is a tough job. This song is in the Folk-Contemporary genre....in my opinion this is a jazz and pop "standard"... It is not a folk song. The song is well sung and the singer has a strong presence and timber that is dead-center in the jazz-pop genres. The song idea is common (aren't they all at this point-in-time), so what makes a song unique and separates it from the pack? I think it is the cadence, the melody and unique twists in the lyrical content and I think you do/did that very nicely throughout the whole song. It clearly has a future with the right artist singing it, in a music library and/or movie or TV track. Nice job.

What a wonderful, effortless, rich sounding voice. It hardly matters what a voice like that sings, it will sound beautiful. This song does give the voice a fine opportunity to shine. The flying high from love is the theme, though it is a loaded term to say you are flying high since high as a kite refers to drink and drugs. But this is love and joy.

Nicely composed and recorded song with a good message. The voice is very good and the sparse backing vocals lend just the right support and color. Definitely rates a "Very Good" ratings throughout. I enjoyed the listen.
