Borrowed Time

Story Behind The Song

I was out of town working and was thinking about my family. I was ready to get back home.

Song Description

Life seems to keep the day busy with, family, work, and social/personal events. Work is the time you dedicate towards sustaining things we do in our lives. Some jobs take people away from their homes for extended periods of time, missing out on life's special events. This "Borrowed Time," takes us away from what we really would rather be doing. "Borrowed Time," is a song that reflects on the questions- when will I be done with giving up/ trading my time away and when will I get the luxury of getting back to my home. I dedicate this song to all of those working away from their true lives and wish them the best working through the "Borrowed Time."

Lyrics

I've been living on the line
From here to borrowed time
Wondering when I'll make it home again

I can only go so far
With this beat up run down care
Then I'll be heal towing it again

Wondering when this borrowed time will end

I said enoughs enough
The roads been getting tough
I can't wait to get back home again
There's no time I got to make
If only for my sake
This borrowed time I'm wearing mighty thin

The weathers looking right
The sun is shining bright
I'm looking forward to seeing home again

It's the path that I must take
The distance I will make
I can't wait to get back home again

Wondering when this borrowed time will end

I said enoughs enough
The roads been getting tough
I can't wait to get back home again
There's no time I got to make
If only for my sake
This borrowed time I'm wearing mighty thin

I've met some people on my way
Some have brightened up my day
Welcomed me just like I was a friend

Still, I said enoughs enough
The roads been getting tough
I can't wait to get back home again
There's no time I got to make
If only for my sake
This borrowed time I'm wearing mighty thin
