Story Behind The Song
This is about my first son who was born pre-mature and the touch and go of his early life. It was about driving to the hospital early in the morning hoping that he was alright and would survive another day. The idea of lifted silence was not only a prayer to God that he would be ok but that the machines he was on would one day stop beeping and buzzing and become silent.
Song Description
Lifted silence is a song about the precarious first few days of my Childs life. It is not only a prayer for help but also a hope that everything would turn out well and that the strain of the moment would pass.

Lyrics
His hands are small
he's sick as helpless as I am
His eyes they wander
like my thoughts of other times
It's dark and lonely
the rain sings in the morning light
my heart it wanders
Prayers for this life to be alright
Chorus:
I'm dying for some
Lifted silence
Find your voice in
something grand
I'm dying for some
lifted silence
hear your voice and change a man
It's all been moving
fixed points of a charted course
tossed by questions
of the silence of your noise
Chorus
