This song is about the excitement of growing up in a working class city in the 1970's.
Rock and roll was stirring in our blood and we couldn't get enough of it! The most influential radio station in the world CKLW was only an hour away and was playing great music constantly. We would go to see the greatest rock bands in the world at Cobo Hall in Detroit and Pontiac Stadium in Michigan, among other stellar venues. It was a great time to be growing up without the internet and all the crazy technology that is around to distract us today! Inspired by the yearly get together in Chatham to see old friends.
