Story Behind The Song
On a drive back from a gig, having had a big fight, I kept looking at my then lover
and felt how he's heart had turned to stone, and saw him looking at me in a different way, with cold eyes. I knew this was the beginning of the end and was heartbroken, so wrote this song.

Lyrics
Don't Even Go There
The bright light in your eyes is turning grey and oh so dull
The warmth of your face gives way to bitter chill
Your happy voice changes and all I can hear is
the hollow howl of the wind
Summer's gone
More ways than one
The winters here
There's no return
It's too late
To melt again
So we store away our
Vulnerability
Don't don't don't
Even go there
I'm going nowhere
When the colours of the flowers fade I feel your mood turning dark.
Sunny days long gone instead I see your stony heart
The greenness of that grass in the garden turns cold and hard
The winter's light is blue and white It doesn't reach my soul
Dreaming of the sunny spring when feelings start to grow
Only this time I'll let my love blossom elsewhere
Summer's gone
More ways than one
The winters here
There's no return
It's too late
To melt again
So we store away our
Vulnerability
Don't don't don't
Even go there
I'm going nowhere
again
With you
No no no no no no no
Don't even go there
I'm going nowhere
Summer's gone
More ways than one
The winters here
There's no return
It's too late
To melt again
So we store away our
Vulnerability
Don't don't don't
Even go there
I'm going nowhere
again
With You
No no no no no no no
Don't even go there
I'm going nowhere
Again With You, no no no no no no!
