Story Behind The Song
She has the most beautiful eyes. You can see the sun within them. We had a great idea for the music and a muse for they lyric. The idea was to create complexity with the instrument rhythms but not in a traditional rock band style. Jason had a really cool guitar tone and those bends! We love using synths and getting a bit funky. We wanted it to feel like a frenzy. Almost like you're being chased through the jungle and up a pyramid only to be sacrificed when you got there. The vocal versus repeating is deliberate. They are meant to show the cycle of sun up to sun down...the endlessness of time. It's one of our best mixed/produced rock productions to date.
Song Description
Chunky guitar & fat beats matched with power vocals blaze through this song and transports the protagonist through the eclipse formed by the brown and bright yellow iris in the eyes of his lover. Symbolism of Mayan mythology, sun god worshiping, love, creation, time and power are explored throughout.

Lyrics
The sun
Within
The sun within your eyes
Hearts bloom
Guide through
The shadows of the dawn
Traverse and glide
A soul eclipsing light
Give in to me
You know I need to
Now will arise on the other side
Down on your knees
You will take away
The darkened eyes
and see the sun within
The sun
Within
The sun within your eyes
