Story Behind The Song
This song was inspired by the book, "Veronika Decides to Die" by Paulo Coelho. one of our favorite books. I (Lisa) always wondered what a sequel of that book would entail and this is what I imagined would be one perspective.
The singer is singing about his loss after Veronika leaves him unexpectedly. He's confused and doesn't realize that she left because she "thinks" she's dying and wants to spare him the pain of watching her die.
