Story Behind The Song
I started writing it back in 1987 about not ever wanting to say goodbye forever to anyone - friends and loved ones alike. I would always be coming back to do another show, and I would always be coming back home.
Song Description
After so much traveling and saying goodbye so many times, staying away too long is no longer an option.

Lyrics
Every time I leave, don't you worry, I'm always coming back
I've had my fill of ramblin', more than my share of that
I've had enough heartache, I've had enough pain
I've had my share of leaving, and going back again
I'll always be here, whenever, you call my name
I'll never go back, or travel, that road again
My love for you is sacred, my love is a rock
You mean more to me, than anything I've got
(CHORUS)
My heart can't stand, one more goodbye
Tried to count them, but I just can't count that high
My heart can't stand, one more goodbye
If I go, it'll only be a little while
If I go, it'll only be a little while
(INSTRUMENTAL)
After Years of leaving, this time I'm going home to stay
I'm tired of crying, ain't gonna let goodbye get in the way
Please hold the heartaches, don't give me the blues
Please don't let me win, if in the end I'm gonna lose
(CHORUS)
My heart can't stand, one more goodbye
Tried to count them, but I just can't count that high
My heart can't stand, one more goodbye
If I go, it'll only be a little while
If I go, it'll only be a little while
If I go, it'll only be a little while
