Story Behind The Song

In junior high and high school I loved to dance but I was too shy at boy-girl parties to ask a girl to dance. At the parties in junior high all of the girls were on one side of the room and all of the boys were on the other side. The boy who risked it all to walk across the room to ask a girl to dance would be so cool if she said yes; or look like the school fool if she said no. This song addresses that awkwardness.

Song Description

This song mixes Rap with R&B and funk. It has an uptempo groove mixed with a tantric bass line that is intoxicating. The rap and R&B groove is definitely midwest as the Brothers MJ are from Cincinnati Ohio. Murray, the elder brother is a doctor who raps like Run DMC and can also do that mellow falsetto. Mike, the younger brother, is a cyber security business owner who belts out that baritone and bass vocal which reminds you of the Temptations.
